Mike,i've just seen your request from the 28th march, if you want headlamp protectors i can bring a couple of mk2 ones ( one slightly damaged ) to wetherby for you.
Doubt I'll make Wetherby, but If you could pass them onto someone who's going to Scotland I could get them that way. What do you want for them?

Oh, and BOT, don't all drop out as I may do something stupid!

Mike, are the headlamp protectors for Timex? If so, not sure MK 2 ones will fit as they are not the same.
They will catch on the wing unless you cut them down which may be your intention.

I don't want anything for them, they're just taking up space. I took them off a few years ago because i think they impair light output.
It's not like my headlamps need protecting i've got lots of spares!

That's exactly my intention, as the part over the headlamps should be similar.

Back to the 17RD, it's still sat on approx. 50% scrap value, so I made the mistake of checking it's location - it's only 85 miles up the road from me! I've also been in touch with the seller about timescale for moving it. Oh god, I can see me sticking a bid on this after applying some manmaths to the cost of getting it back and storing it. If the Landy was on the road I'd have already done it I think.

Someone else please show some interest! [-o<

If you get it, I'll happily pop over from Brizzle and help with fettling! It looks like a good buy, but sadly I have a valver, a Saab 900 and a Land Rover 110CSW to get back on the road before I start entertaining ideas of any more cars...
Good heavens! My signature's been moderated...

Nope, not me - I'd have been able to bid more if I wasn't in the middle of trying to put 3 motors back on the road already, but hopefully I pushed it out of 'buying to be weighed in' territory. It's almost a relief actually as I was having visions of missing the Challenge this year due to not having anything on the road - as it is it's looking increasingly unlikel that my first choice will be fixed in time!

Yes Tim, as you say, but rare.
Hope it will be restored but i feel it wont cos of the costs and problems as ime finding with Mollie.
Seller said it hasnt been on the road since 1999 so might be a headache getting her sorted.
Fingers crossed ime wrong and we see her on the road soon.

13+ years off the road, and probably most of those left outside would be a car I wouldn't want to get involved with. It doesn't do any car any benefits and with the overall condition (eg. back bumper and door) being a bit rough it would cost a lot in time, dedication, and possibly money to make it a runner again imho.
