Do BXs like snow ??

Ive heard of that one, if theres any BBC Radio 2 listeners out there who tune in regularly to Sir Terry Wogans breakfast show they will know of it too!

Shock horror the place must of come to a standstill

now I am thinking of all that salt being pumped on the roads now making the corrosion monster so happy to play

Dont salt the roads out here, spread some grit then wait for mother nature to do here stuff. Depends on where you live as to how long that takes, but I work up a mountain and well snow is our friend

although to much of it on the road and the 4x4 town cars soon fall off the road

Snow tyres? I thought about a set of them but considering to compound and only half my trip to work would ever be on snow or ice then they would be chewed up pretty quickly. Set of snow chains when pushed is good enough.

Best story I have is last June when it took us nearly 8 hours to get 2000 cars off the mountain when the weather dumped more snow than we could handle on the roads. Problem was we had 2wds in the lower Car Park without chains when the weather changed and 4 wds leaping off the road slowing our road clearing. Had to fit chains to all vheicles in the end

Considering 95% or more North Islanders never driver in snow it was a nightmare

What my wife and I laugh at is that we had to dig out our white 2wd Car and we drove home without any dramas. I love driving in the snow

considering it dumped snow the day after my driving test and I was delivering Newspapers on Dartmoor. I dont know why I like snow ?

Now I do remember a severe Snow Storm back in the UK and my faithfull BX 19GT got me across Dartmoor blasting through snow drifts

I think the fitted spoiler made a differance along with the set of snow chains I had? Seems that a MKII BX with a front spoiler coapes better than one without and certainly better than my MKI which I manged to bog into snow on a couple of occassions on Dartmoor

Still snowing heavily here, went out for a short blast in the BX, the thing feels so liveley compared to the Xantia.

The Cat and Fiddle pass is another notorious road. Bloody great fun to drive in good weather proiding you watch out for manic bikers and the police helicopter.

Anyway it`s been sowing like buggery all morning here but it`s not settling because it`s too wet

Real sh*tter because I want to tax my Frontender today and go and play in it!

I stayed on the cat and fiddle road for a while last year, hairy sounding cars passing at speed all night, bikes all day, lots of bunches of flowers tied to fenceposts, I would no fanct it in this weather though uless I was on an enduro bike.

I have just been out in the BX again, roads rather poor, been playing rally slags and attempting to invoke ABS, bloody hell these uniroyals are a very good tyre indeed, other folks seem to be slithering around and I am cornering hard then braking hard, absolutely no slipping at all, the Xantia has Klebers on it and has nowhere the same grip or traction, I dont want to part with this BX

Got some brave numpties there then Bandit!

Yesterdays snow was rained away by the evening but it put many off our planned pub meet.

Still we had a hard core of 6 turn up so it was a good session anyway!

Took me 10 minutes to get from one end of Treforest to the other. That's a 30-second drive in most normal circumstances.

Well it`s come down good and proper here. Just back from a snowball fight and in the honour of my son who has flu I copped two in the eyes (still stinging like hell) and countless body shots but gave better than O got despite being outnumbered 9-1 at times
