Despite its troubles, I think Adam's car is a better bet from my point of view. I wouldn't want to get involved with a car that had been standing for that long - especially a BX. Every single pipe and hose on it will be perished/corroded.

Great car for a restorer though!

Theres certainly no danger of my GT rusting till I sort out this damn oil leak :) I remember worrying about the pipes on this one when I got it as it had been sat for a year, but it was actually really good in the pipe department. I think the fact that this one has been garaged for 10 years is probably very good news for the pipes etc. It may have the odd weird being sat related issue for a few years like dry seals etc, and I expect the spheres would be shot as they go down even when they are not being used. In fact, the new spheres I got for my CX are pretty hard as they shelf date is so old. They are also Amtex ones which are not as good as the original Citroen items.

Not a bad price either way really. I expected the bidding to increase due to early interest though.
