Father Ted
I am still working in Substance misuse, but I also teach the Dual Diagnosis course for the BSc Mental Health at UCLAN. Its distance learning, so mostly I get to be at the end of a phone, but there is some group work involved.
just realised - another 15 years and I can retire! wooo, bet it doesnt happen with two young daughters though

ouch , torn calf muscle , what were you doing? .
the best Treatment to start with is R.I.C.E.
no not uncle Bens
rest, ice, compression, elevation.
Wrap the calf to keep the blood from pooling in the foot, and keep it elevated for the first 24 hours to reduce swelling . Anti-inflammatory medication may help reduce pain. Eventually, the muscle reattaches to the tendon; however, and the calf is often shorter than before the injury and prone to repeat injury.
best you visit your doctor or a physical therapist to ensure in fast recovery.
Full recovery takes between 5-8 weeks.
get well soon

[quote="MCR"] Walsh & Fix Or Repair Daily [ quote]
are you sure you dont mean Nursing Rituals, Research and Rational Actions: by Mike Walsh, Pauline Ford
I was four when that was written
I always thought Fix Or Repair Daily was a swipe at Ford cars
how come every time I type the name of the f o r d car company it comes up as ford,
I thought you were on a wind up

Very interesting, I'm a student social worker, currently on placement at a medium secure unit, and about to start writing my dissertation which is focussed on dual diagnosis...MCR wrote:I am still working in Substance misuse, but I also teach the Dual Diagnosis course for the BSc Mental Health at UCLAN.
