FOR SALE: 1988 BX 16TRS Auto. White. 40k. Complete history

Post by Mutz »

1988 BX 16TRS Auto in white. 40,000 miles. FSH & MOTs back to new including PDI sheet.

Bodywork in exceptional condition as is the interior. See below

Front to rear x4 & brake equaliser hydraulic pipes replaced April 2007 by Citoen specialist. Receipt and contact details available.

Some usual BX issues e.g floppy drivers sun visor, floppy radio flap, front brake pad wear wires , heat temp knob seized, slightly tatty bumpers.

There is an issue with fuel consumption, although it passed an emissions test (result print out available) with flying colours so carburation seems OK. Happy to discuss more on phone or by email

Mutz, that car is a real credit to you. Lovely 8)

Has it had a manual choke conversion?

H Roverman

To be honest I haven't got a clue what it is worth. But then what is anything really worth in the current market. So i'm open to offers.

Hi mnde

Well spotted! yes it has had manual choke conversion

Where do all these really low mileage 16 autos come form? And they all seem to be white too! My 16TGS was nice, but had had dealer-retrofitted PAS too. Does this have PAS?

I think it's a cracking car by the sound of it. Trouble with advertising now, and on this site is that most of us already have at least one BX... That Hurricane on here is a good BX by the look of it too, yet is proving difficult to shift (althought there is interest now I think).

And with everything being as tight money-wise as it is, you are best advised to advertise it in as many appropriate places as possible. Thing is, there's lots of cheap metal out there and it's my belief that only an enthusiast or someone looking for something different will go for a BX. So it should find a decent home...

Although the BX Club is a community of such people - there are others out there!

Thanks Phillip and I quite agree. Have just put it on carandclassic as Roverman suggested.

If anyone has any other suggestions  , I'd be very grateful :)
