FOR SALE: Jack, Crank and holding Receptacle for BX

Post by frugg »

From the CXclub website:

I have a clean and fully functional lifting jack for not a CX, but a BX.
(The difference between that for a CX and a BX is subtle, but noticeable)

Together with the jack is, of course, the crank for the jack, and the plastic holding receptacle, or case, for the pair.

Why am I selling these things, I hear you ask?

Because I have taken delivery of the same items for a CX.

I will accept £40.00 for the lot. (including 1st class postage from Australia)

Now I intend to put it up on Ebay, but of course I would prefer one of my friends here to snaffle it first.

bare in mind the guy has priced this from an australian perspective, and we all know something is only worth what someone will pay for it. and given the rarity of citroens out there,as you will be aware if you remember the tales from alan S, may god rest his soul, about bx's changing hands for thousands of dollars...

so imho given the intrinisc rarity over there and the price of postage half way across the world it it would probably be a snip to an australian citroen fan:-/

I am a new member in OZ. I can't seem to get the CX website up at the moment. Can anyone give me his contact details?

I have two BX's, but neither of them have a holder for the jack and the spanner. At the moment they rattle around in the boot. What does the holder look like?

Current Citroens:
BX TZD (rare private import), BX 19TZI (auto works in reverese but not forwards), AX GTI (waiting for a carby for it to bypass the problem EFI system), CX 2400 (works but waiting for me to put the leather interior in), Mercedes 300D (recently stolen and recovered but with every bit of glass smashed), Mercedes 450 SEL (very close to having it running again), plus a few others...
