What's been happenin??

Post by Kitch »

I return from a 6 week gap to find it all went belly up and some people went mental! actually, I think anyone could see some shit of some sort was going to hit the fan. Hopefully all ok now?

Just about settled into new pad. Making use of the increased land with 5 cars onsite already! Nothing much to report since I was last on...

BAH doesn't tap anymore! I removed the head shortly after moving to find a very bent valve on the inlet side of number three! Oddly, only one inlet valve was bent! Now runs silky smooth and pulls like the proverbial sizable locomotive. Still cains fuel and seat belt buckles sadly. Tracking still out, but new tyres fitted in the form of Toyo Proxes......half the price of the Michelins and twice the tyre. Very happy with them!
Still got a few niggles to sort namely a coolant leak, the tracking, the dent and one or two tit bits, but it's made solid progress. It'll be family transport until 31st August when it's insurance and tax both run out, then it'll be laid up until next spring. I'll be too busy to faff around with it before long!

The pink one has sadly made no progress, and busy doesn't begin to describe my life right now :(
I've sourced a few parts, but need to find more if I stand any chance of repairing it. Was offered £400 for the engine, box and loom last week too

Saxo VTS has made no progress....except running out of fuel.

I've also added another Fiesta Zetec S to the fleet. NO one on here would believe how good they are, but I intend to get it up to scratch and find it a home. It was about to be chopped in for silly money as a non-runner.

Got a few days off coming up, and I do have enough spares to at least start the pink BX but the Fiesta is the only car with tax/MOt so its the car I'll sort first.

Pregnancy wise, my g/f is now the size of someone normally ready to pop, and she's just short of 7 months  Twins don't make it as far as 9 months, 8 months being the ideal term but as of two weeks ago we were told her waters could break at any moment! House is still a mess but nursery half way there :)

Hope all has been well with everyone on here. Got a mountain of emails to read now!

Cheers

Hello Kitch, was wondering where you'd gone - thought perhaps you were down The Wheatsheaf ( or whatever your local's called) preparing for fatherhood. Glad that everything's going well.

There were a few disturbances hereabouts - The Taliban were trying to infiltrate our ranks and persuade us to use our BXs as weapons of mass destruction :D ( haven't quite figured that one out : perhaps something to do with rust storms / unstable emissions or dangerous 80s styling)

Welcome back Kitch :D looking forward to news of the arrivals.. It's a very exciting time...

I've been a bit quiet recently on here as work has been mental. Good but crazily busy. I'm owed so much time I'll be able to retire next week

Welcome back.

I'm also back from a four-week break having moved house - broadband is finally sorted here!

I'm being very good - got room for about three cars here, including a garage, and I haven't bought a single one yet.

Hi Stuart, wondered where you'd gone! When you get a mo, would you be so kind as to PM me your phone number as I'm trying to get all BXagoneer's contact details sorted. Cheers 8)

They're all a bit Radio Rental like, nothing I hope that can't be cured with some sparkling wine or suchlike!
