ZX plip reprogramming/struggling starts

Does anybody have any tips on reprogramming a 94 ZX aura plip? It is a one button fob. Not sure if it is like a BX plip?

Also on a TD, if it takes 2 warming of glow plugs to get it started from cold, is this a sign of needing new glow plugs or is it fuel falling back into the tank? Also smokes a fair bit on start up.

Try priming the fuel system by pumping the fuel up untill the bulb feels hard, then try starting, if it starts first time, it's fuel running back, if not it's probably the plugs.
They think it's all over, it is now!
