Lovely. Good price but depends of course on how much it costs to get it to the mainland. As a matter of interest http://www.carship.co.uk/motor-vehicle-shipping.html ...

I would go over on the ferry as a foot passenger and drive it back.

That's going to add at least £130 to the cost. More like £150. Still do-able for anyone interested.

Welcome Matty and very well well done on that Gem of ^^bx> you just secured yourself.
I had considered ringing the owner this morning just after Roverman had put the posting up if it had been mainland UK.
I'm sure it will be worth the bit of extra time/£'s getting it back to the mainland :!:
Take good care of it and enjoy it.

Hi, and thanks!

I'm sure it will no doubt cost a few quid, but BX's in general and particularly this one are becoming a scarce thing! Many have been simply scrapped or cannibalised for their engines.

it's good that everyone looks out for one another posting such items and helping with spares and information.

All the best

Hi Matty, I notice you're in Norfolk. Pop by on your way past from the South coast! I'm in Chelmsford.

If I have time I will! Struggling to find a ferry at a reasonable price that returns to the UK at a reasonable time!

If the car's been on Jersey it's whole life I'd bet it's never been much above 40-50 mph... so break it in gently

From what I understand reregistering these cars isnt difficult either, would be worth keeping the J plates for posterity! They will give you and age realted plate which is a shame as an 09 reg BX would be hilarious!

... and impossible as it would mean it would have to comply to all the current rules and regs on new vehicles!

It would either gain an age-related plate, or if the age couldn't be proved, a Q-plate.
this might be a signature
