Nice 17RD

Quite odd as its got the optional power steering and eleccy sunroof, which would have made it about the same price as 19RD!

Low miles and local to me and nice low starting price.

Is it just me, or do you not see many BX's on a "E" registration any more. For some reason there seem to be plenty of "D", and a fair number of "F", but very few "E".

A bad year for the BX?

The best car and most loved we ever had was a lovely 87E 19RD in Ventian Red, named Chantal by my late father as he was so fond, it was the first car I ever drove, she did 150k miles with very few problems but then was replaced by a ford sierra

To me, a replacement rear bumper suggests a possible rear-end shunt at some time, however minor. Boot carpet up for inspection, at the very least, for anyone interested, as with any BX hatch.

However, if shunted, and given a professional repair job, then the rear end might be in better shape than normal if the boot floor and box sections were replaced.
Back on two wheels and pedal power for the moment.

From the rear photo shot it looks like it could do with another replacement bumper as 1/3 along in from the o/s it got some damage/bulge and also a whitening/discoloration were the bumpers been hit and strained the plastic/material.
Also in vertical plain going upwards there seems to be another mark on the hatchback paint work which suggests this may be part of the same incident/collision (A post or trolley booth shelter @ the local supermarket maybe) ?
Although having a long MOT April 2010, why is the exhaust/tailpipe hanging so low ?
Has the rubber hanger severed since the MOT or is it something more serious like a corroded rear tailpipe hanger that's let go ?
But at the current bidding price if it does go to high hopefully it will be 'cheap and cheerful' with only 64K it will make a nice runner for someone and after all the seller has quoted "GOOD GENERAL CONDITION FOR A CAR THAT IS OVER 20 YEARS OLD".
Best of luck to anyone off the forum if there bidding on it.
