In my endless trawling of the internet fishing for another bx, I've brought up this bycatch:

Interesting, my mate is building a diesel bike based around a Hatz 1000cc twin. I'll send him the link and suggest a rethink...

I remember catching a Harley Davidson diesel bus trike in India. It sounded like an old dumper truck.

I also seem to remember returning to London dressed in a sarong and a Mujahadine hat and a pair of hiking boots. I'd had to throw most of my clothes away somewhere up a mountain after multiple shitting-myself incidents. Teehee - remembering Bhang Lhasi (extra strong) now

There was a diesel powered Enfield motorbike made in India too - maybe still is? It was the worlds only production diesel motorbike I think.

Scarecrow, I think you should explain what exactly you mean by 'Bhang Lassi' And is there a motorbike that runs on it?

Hmmm - if there were a motorbike that ran on it, it'd probably have a chilam for an exhaust.

I don't think I could be described as being Indian - maybe in spirit!

I thought I'd heard about a diesel-powered single-cylinder motorbike in production or test for the military - and here is the company who make them http://www.dieselmotorcycles.com/
Back on two wheels and pedal power for the moment.
