Bonnet Adjustment

Post by Tim Leech »

Is it possible to adjust the bonnet at the front as both of mine seem to sit a bit proud, I HAVE adjusted the rubber buffers down but this hasnt made a difference.

Not 100% sure Tim, but I think the centre bonnet lock mechanism can be moved, by loosening the mounting bolts and repositioning, to allow a tighter fit! There may also be a little bit of adjustment possible in the sprung "pin" catch on the bonnet itself.
IIRC there should be a 10mm gap between the bonnet lip and the top of the headlamps, when correctly fitted.

Sounds about right to me mountain man, try adjusting the bonnet catch (easy simple job) be careful not to lower the catch too low though. There is no catch spring adjustment that i know of.
