Well I got a Full set of New Tyres on the 19TZS and replaced the Front set on the TRS with the correct size (170/65R14) from the larger (170/75R14).
As luck would have t we have a Speed Check Trailer set up just down the road. So I took a couple of Runs at it with both Cars.
The results were @70kph (the set limit) the 19TRS flashed up 65kph on both runs at it.
The 19TZS flashed up SLOW DOWN $30 and 71kph
Both cars now have the same sized tyres and the my pride and joy is a speedster
I wont mention the Logging Truck that I took a photograph of that was doing 88kph

Most cars have speedometers that over read.
I find this annoying, because people drive even slower than they need to, often on roads will stupidly low limits already.
My BX over reads by about 5mph at 70.
The sat nav is far more accurate and I use this instead.

I have been using a handheld GPS, the advantage of running at this board is it is in big ornage writing
I am going to take note of my Tyre pressures,Tyre depth as they are new to help calibrate gainst the GPS and speedo. Should prove an interesting experiment over time. I always knew the TZS had a bit of an off speedo because for one it does not do the infamous needle flicker that every other BX I owned has done and secondly a trip into town some 21 kms it always finds the shortest route, which reflects in the Fuel consumption
Some results I have found on our none BX and 2 other cars I have access to is that 100kph returns 96-97kph on the GPS.

It was done for your benefit to note the mistakecavmad wrote:Never heard of 170/65 and 170/75 tyres, are they exclusive to NZ?
Good point though how comes Tyre sizes have a 5 in the last digit of those first three?
