BX's in France

Post by Boxwolf »

I'm in France right now on holiday have seen a few BX, but none were the regular model naming scheme, they all had names like special editions, one of which I can remember was BX "Kerlonque" - it was silver.

That came out just after the BX "Kerplunk" but before the BX "Kersplatt"...

I think it might be Calanque btw. :D

I've noticed a real decline in BX's in France over the last couple of years. I mostly see Images, Millisemes and the odd Ourane. Quite a few mark 1's of the ones I saw earlier this year, mostly TRD's, the odd mk2 TRD Turbo too.
Dont think i've EVER seen a GTi 8v over there, I did see a BX Sport for sale a couple of years ago though.

Yes you are right. The numbers are dimishing, for the same reasons as here. But there are still a large number in use, an everyday sighting is not uncommon.

My neighbour in France has a 4x4. Its in daily use along with his wife's Xantia. The spheres appear rock solid though which suggests he is not really keeping it up to scratch..........

The Joy of BX with just one Citroën BX to my name now. Will I sing Bye Bye to my GTI or will it be Till death us do part.
