Urgent SALE Required of a repair or Spares 1989 BX 16 v GT

Post by Malcolm »

Malcolm Gow GowMS@aol.com
I HAVE TO get rid of my 1989 BX GTI 16 valve in the next few weeks and, as I have emigrated to Australia and my friend who bought my house HAS to get it out of her way because she is doing house alterations. So I am looking for someone to take it away, who will either repair it Possible cylinder head gasket needed as it overheats, and there is " mayonaise " on the engine oil filler.
The car is in pretty good condition with a few spares and a complete split rear seat unit. SO please help! ! ! enthusiasts as it will be remove by a scrappy in a weeks time for current scrap value and be and another BX will be lost for ever. Please contact me on my e-mail as Australia is a bit far for you to phone, BUT if anybody is interested I would be happy to phone them WE are 7 hours ahead of the UK. SO HELP! ! ! HELP! ! ! AND SAVE a nice White BX any offer considered

I understand this to be the Ph. 1 16v I owned briefly a while back.

I believe Malcolm will accept anything over the £70 scrap value, so; a chance to get a valver for not much means head repair and other stuff will not make it an uneconomical proposition I guess.

Anyone???

Well, Malcolm says:

Unfortunately in the e-bay advert ( I am useless at these ) I didn't mention that the buyer had to collect it , so I think this deal won't be happening...

So: here's some info:

Yes it is MOT'd until 14th October and insured so it could be temporarily taxed. Yes it is driveable , but I keep the heater on full pelt to keep it as cool as possible but obviou.sly if it is removed from Friston and it gets too bad it could allways be uplifted by the RAC or AA..

Worth a try for someone???

Not necessarily looking like this now (but that was over two years ago)

Depends on the outcome of the after-auction wrangle, I guess. :)
