that takes me back to my schooldays in the Medway towns many years ago; it used to be great overtaking the cars doing 30+ on my bike down Chatham Hill on my way to school, unlike my friend I didn't get booked for speeding

Grecian - I used to do the same. I also used to lie in wait for unsuspecting mopeds half-way up Maidstone Rd in Rainham - give them a little bit of a head start, and then chase them on my racer. Usually with a fag hanging out of the corner of my mouth. Haha - happy days

Hmmm, now let's see ... that could be Chatham Tech, just past Luton Arches. Maidstone Road too for the Holcombe end of things.

Good Lord! Am I among old school chums .................

I'm talking pre 1965 and a bit further on than Chatham Tech - the wonderfully named Sir Joseph Williamson's school for the sons of gentlemen; it had slipped a bit by the time I got there, and I'm not sure I helped the image that much
