16v in Triton Green

Post by Tim Leech »

May be Robin Hughes Dads old car maybe? this email was in my inbox this morning

Hi there

I currently own a 1991 J reg Citroen BX 16 valve, which I need to sell as I am returning to university to do an MSc, can't really afford to insure/tax it for another year, and don't really want to subject it to a years worth of street parking.

It is in pretty good condition considering its age/mileage (an admittedly high 200,000 miles), and I have a fully stamped service book with the car, and has had loads of work done over the years. My worst nightmare is for some unscrupulous 205 owner to rip out the engine out and scrap it.

I do apologise in a way for this e mail, it's a rather odd way to try and sell a car but I understand you live in Winchester, and I live down the road in Swanmore near Bishops Waltham, so not far!

It has MOT until May, and a fair amount of tax- im looking for around £700 for it.

Looks to be in need of a good wash!

I love the colour. Would need a lot more information to be tempted if I was a potential buyer...

Swanmore near Bishops Waltham
Translates to more-or-less halfway between Winchester and Portsmouth - and that's the reflection of a wall in the windows rather than a load of bricks or wood in the car, as it might look on first glance...
Back on two wheels and pedal power for the moment.

Ah, so it's not really that nice blue colour shown in the photo above but green.
The colour confusion from the blue sky/sunlight reflecting off it no doubt.

Not again, honestly.

I have my eyes on a TZD turbo estate, though. Post-BXagon. :)
