A rare one

Post by Philip Chidlow »

I have been contacted by someone locally who has come across a BX19 TZi auto with air conditioning. I will be for sale and I have asked for a lot more info. But this is what I know:

White
1990 (post facelift)
89k miles
No tax but MOT to May 2010

I'll post up more info when I get it.

Actually I got the details wrong:

White
1961 (needs facelift)
high mileage
Owe tax and short MOT
Interior abused and exterior shabby, but reliable all the same.
Future classic (maybe).

Well, I'm afraid it's sold. If there's a problem with closing the deal I'll PM you.

There is something else cropped up in this corner of Essex...

"A telephone call this morning tells me that there's an F plate DTR in apparently excellent condition in the scrapyard at Purdeys Industrial Estate, Rochford, Essex.

Other than that, I know no more. ".... could be worth looking at.

And it's entirely possible that another BX I know locally will be up for sale around Xmas.

Actually, no.
I was contacted by someone who wants to find a home for a BX. I chatted with him a couple of Nationals ago (which isn't exclusive to the CCC of course), when we discovered we both lived in the same county. He now uses Dennis, who provides my Citroen servicing/repairs, and got my number off him.

This is the first place I posted up the information. In fact I haven't posted on the CCC site regarding this BX.

So this is the first and only port of call. And it has sold. Hang on, where's my commission!?

BUT

Regarding the DTR - yes that IS a lead from the CCC. But I don't know anything about that one except it's local to me.
