Probably read all you need to about this car.. but it can't sit in my space for too long, I need to replace it. If nobody wants to buy it, I'll just be scrapping it. It would be a shame to do that but it HAS to go.
Is nobody interested at all?

Here's the original advert. It's not perfect but it's a nice car. I don't think it would take much to make it good again. I just don't have equipment or money to fix it.

Ahh yes its Simrans old car. Lets hope somoene take it on, if theres funny noises coming from the 4x4 system its not for me, thanks though.

It looks really good. it would be an absolute crime to scrap it. Everyone - don't give up on 4x4's. We're working on a spline mod at this very moment!

Oh yes, Phil has mentioned he's working out a mod. He's a good engineer and taught me to weld! I'd love a 4x4, just for the sake of it!

Anyone know anywhere I can get the clutch changed for less than a grand. It's either that or "no, sorry, we don't do those" and that's Citroen specialists..

Just had a word with a mechanic that i use all of the time, he quoted a book guide of 6-6.5hrs, but as he'd never done one, he said he'd want to have a look at it to see exactly what was involved, so didnt give a price. His labour rate is under £50p/h, so even if the job took him longer, thats still quite a bit cheaper than what you've been quoted so far. He gave me some details of another chap who is apparently a citroen specialist, so if i get a chance & am going that way i'll pop in & ask him.

Is the car driveable at the mo?

Im nr Chesterfield incase you were wondering, not sure if thats close enough for you?

Yeah I think I can make that trip, it's only slipping on full load at the moment. It'd need a bit of saving up for as well. My aim is to get it roadworthy (subframe mounts + valve stem seals - at the moment i'd cost me as much in oil as petrol

) then drive it to get the clutch done. Hopefully it won't be all that long though. thanks for the effort, much appreciated. That's a lot cheaper than I've been quoted.

You'd want a good weekend to do that really.
I would do it for you, but I just have wayyyyyy too much on the go right now, and that aint likely to change til the spring at least.

I'll ask around though.

I've no idea when I'll get the car on the road, time and money are the biggest stumbling blocks. Not only am I trying to fix this, I've got a Kawasaki Ninja to fix, and that's a lot more expensive considering there's a lot less of it. £116 for a gasket set!

I'm hoping to get it done soon though.
