For what it's worth, the Skorpion 660's are the same. However, a lot of parts are made by Yamaha, the frame's a British Seymour-Powell design and the brakes and front suspension are Italian. Sadly, the electrics are by some mad b*****d who had psychopathic tendencies where electrons were concerned.
Skorpion owners like me spend their time replacing the atrocious quality East German materials (nothing wrong with the engineering - it's the cheesium and alumaturdium that goes
futz - that and the horrible meccano grade grade wiring.) But when they go properly, it's all worth it because, like BX's, they go like greased weasels and sound/look like an orgasm on wheels.
This one's due a respray in black over the winter ... if I can get the workshop heating system to work this year ...........
