The Late Great Alan Smith

Post by Philip Chidlow »

Hi,

The BXagon is over (for the time being) and funds are still being collected. It would appear we will fall short of our target this time, so I will hopefully be arranging a UK-based mini-event (I'll try to make it gruelling as practical - to give the ol' BX's a work-out) in the Spring, to help bolster the amount raised. I will not be printing a calendar as I can't get enough firm 'orders' but will be creating a 2010 BXagon Calendar in downloadable PDF form. In exchange for a £5 donation. How's that sound?

Now, one of the things I need to do is send a letter, a package of memorabilia and a CD of pics etc. to Alan Smith's family. I also want to include the map I used to plan the event.

Does anyone have an address for the family???

I'll send his son an PM over on Aussiefrogs, Phil.

I did have Alan's address in an E-mail somewhere, but I suspect I've long since deleted it. I'll have a trawl through the inbox though..

The mini event sounds like a blast, I was thinking about something similar during the BXAgon, whilst forelornly looking at the vids and piccies coming back and wishing I'd gone....
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...
