1992 BX TZD Turbo estate

Post by classic2cv »

For sale my TZD Turbo estate

due to a lack of use & space and other projects it time for a change

it has been a very good all round car and workhorse (towing 2cv’s around the UK)

there is a little bit rust near the fuel filler flap and the rear exhaust hanger needs to be rewelded

it's done over 160.000 miles
(the cam belt & water pump replaced at 140.000 miles)

not taxed (on SORN) it’s Mot’d until April 2010

it comes with a whole load of spare parts

a pair of front struts
a pair of rear swing arms
2 new rear brakes discs
a new clutch kit
complete exhaust s/h

driver’s electric door mirror & an instrument binnacle

a good reliable car that starts every morning and has never let me down

£300 ono

i'll take some more photos tomorrow

Noooooo

If I do get another one, it will have to be a 19d, then I can stick an autobox in it.

But, does it come with the A frame and the Dyane?!
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

i've been asked for some photos

the motor & gearbox are in good health (169000 miles) & it starts on the button

the interior is ok ( even the glove box hinges are good )

it's in good nick but it does need a bit of a clean up

I take it you mean MoT till 2010 not 2110! Lay off the CX too I love those motors. - Can't even think how to afford to run one alas. How bad would you say the rust really is on the rear of your car, would a rub down and re-paint work or are we looking at new panels?

Dohh!!! that would be a long mot

I think that the rust is on the surface so a quick rub down and re-paint would do it

i intended to do the paint but i didn't want to do it in patches

(do it all or not at all) it's all quite solid

im affrayed to say that is not just surface rust, if you scrape those scabs off you will be left with serious perferations at the very least, but more likely large holes, both of those rear wings are in a bad way

Malcolm's right (again -  ) but it's a fairly simply job to cut out the rotten metal and MIG weld in some 22swg mild steel plates cut to fit. A skim of filler and the job'd be invisible.

I'd also suggest some time spraying a gallon or so of Waxoyl around might pay off too. The ol' tinworm's starting to get a hold. Stop it now and you'll stop it dead. Much longer and you'll be too late.

Trust me - it's worth saving.

I would put it on ebay, it will easily sell on there with the MOT situation.
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....
