OMFG! how great is this! I love watching old ads on YT. I 've seen the BX one of course as I have it in my little tape of old Citroen adverts - the french BX ads are APPAULINGLY cheesy!
That was worth watching just for the Channel 4 ident. But WTF was ALLDERS? must have been a London areas only store - I WANT that white VHS machine!
Also! Now that's what I call music 1!! it is the first one! doesn't even have a number!
It's funny, the 80s was a time where you'd still see adverts that were purely informative " here is product..... please buy product" type of thing. The 'Charrington' (WTF?) ale shite is one of the ads where there was a sort of theme/entertainment going on.
How ridiculously cheesy was that David Bowie intro?! He's talking like your grandad! but this was pre- Labyrinth time wasn't it? Suppose he was needing the money for Christmas!
Quality 80s naffness all round! Thank you for sharing!
This one's got the Toffee Crisp ad I recall! Rowntree Mackintosh FTW! none of this nazi nestlé crap nowadays..
