If you get a big enough hammer (Cavmad has a good selection) you can get any engine to fit!

Agreed Mr Doc.

However for that kind of dosh I think I'd be trying to shoehorn a Lotus Carlton engine into a Chevette!

Always had a bit of an affection for Chevette's, dont know why, every one I've ever worked on was bloody awful, but I still find myself remembering them fondly whenever I see one, which is quite rarely these days..

I used to hate the bastards with a passion as I'd had one years back that was a nightmare.
However when I owned that white automatic one a couple of years ago I fell in love with it. It was brilliant fun to drive and people always smiled at me and let me out of junctions etc.
Last trip was a sixty or seventy mile journey leaving at about six o'clock in the morning and it was honestly one of the best drives I ever made.

I miss not having a quirky motor, had bloody loads the last couple of years and now only have pretty 'normal' every day cars. Hope to get something different again very soon and about time I had another BX I think.

It's a way off yet as skint after Christmas but we'll see what happens, it'll have to be a diseasel though.

I do quite fancy another Yank mobile too though, sort of miss my GMCs, especially the pick-up.
