Red ?
Pink is more like the colour, but I'm sure if someone booked it in with Tim's Polishing skills he could bring it back to Red (Only joking)

What does seem to spoil the look of that valver is the lack of the 6" wide Speed-line alloys, which would have been a standard fitment, even though that the seller has quoted from the Wikipedia / spec. :-
" The updated car came with new fibre-glass bumpers, anthracite painted wheels, smoked taillight lenses, and a redesigned rear spoiler."

Easy enough job to bolt some on (If you can source some) and then hopefully should make a nice car for someone wanting a Valver !

It's not that pink, for the age it's pretty typical really.
No pinker than mine..

The wheels wouldn't bother me, neither would the AVS light..

Could be a bloody cheap, decent car that.
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

Mine is pink too. But I suppose I'm not selling it. I'll warrant that the 'stop' light coming on while cornering is the LHM being down.
Doesn't look too bad really but he's dreaming if he thinking around the grand mark.

Nope just lend it me once a week, easiest way is to wash and leather it as often as possible and polish at the same time, it only takes half an hour to wax a BX, a valver is easier as most of its painted so no fannying about getting polish on the rubber trim. A trick is to get a small hand sponge and soak it in polish and go round the car with that and keep squeazing it when you need more polish, saves no end of time.

A drive to Derby every week? hhmmmmm, well... maybe!
TBH I think mines gone a tad beyond that, the paint is UBER thin in places, not sure it'll take much more polish before it's through the undercoat!

Lol, yes I am dreaming of getting £999, but don't realistically expect it. Just that I did honestly see a higher mileage Gti listed as a classified though thought it's got to be worth a try.

I've had it for one year and hasn't been listed on ebay in that time. Sadly as you say these wheels were on it when I bought it. There have been a couple of glitches in that time but it's been tremendous fun, if you're a maniac it is a great car to tear around in with really predicatable handling that allows you to really balance the throttle against grip :D

You're also right about the LHM being low. After lifting and dropping it to take the pictures it go stuck on the lowest setting, with the STOP light on. Bakes and PAS completely stopped. I topped up the LHM, undid and redid the bleed screw, worked the steering wheel left and right for about 5 minutes and it started to rise again and the light went out. PAS, brakes and everything are back and the lights out.

If any of you have any questions or want to see it, probably safer to get in touch on eBay because I check that email more often.

Thanks.

I would say that was worth £999 all day long. Try picking one up for that in a few years down the line when they get uber rare. Ive already noticed its the same ones that pop up on ebay all the time changing hands. Some of them must be on around 15+ owners by now.

I have an offer on the table of £750 for my engine and gearbox out of my 16v from a guy who builds mi16 pug 205,s. He knows its not roadworthy at the mo. But dont worry as ive told him theyre not for sale
