Well, my BX managed to tow a Bond Equipe (which weighs almost as much) on snow and ice. It also (allegedly) towed the same Bond on a car trailer. (which might have totalled a little more than the recommendation...)
Damn
you have let my secret out phil the helicopter is now in storage.
bit of job to reverse though.

I seem to remember that, or something very similar, used as a press photo with the TZD booklet of the time..
Hi Chris,
I think its image/photo #1 in this LINKyour thinking of its the best one I can find at this time of night, I'm sure Tim will know which site/link to the full-size PDF file is , but (If want a copy send me PM with your E-mail address and I can send you the PDF file I have stored on my PC)
Mmm! Bond Equipe, Cheap as chips but actually rather a successful car if you can be bothered to get it sorted. So much more interesting than a Triumph. Sorry nothing to do with BX but nice to know that there are other nutters about.

With the BX TD i've towed a 6 wheel trailer big enough for a medium sized JCB with 20 something 'kelly' blocks filled with water. Must have been nearly 4 tonne i would guess. Managed to get upto around 60mph as well. This was on a private runway mind!
