1985 bx 16 re gear linkages

Hi can anyone tell me where i can buy some new gear linkages for my bx ,they keep poping off and i can not get first or reverse, or any tech help on this subject will be good regards Nogbad...

surely the scrapyard or Citroen are your best bet?

I had to buy a new linkage for my ZX Volcane and it was quite reasonable from a Citroen dealer.

Hi Jayboy, dont want s/hand cos may end up with same prob, tryed two citroen dealers in uk and with no luck, can you recomend any that will post to france, over here they are more then the cars worth,regards Nogbad

Fairly sure they are still available new, I got somw last year for mine no problems, and they were quite cheap.

Can't remember the name of them now (the details are in t'other car many miles away) but there's a main dealer in Calais that is REALLY very helpful.
Which doesn't help you much right now... Sorry..

It seems that Nogbad ( welcome to the club) is an expat

or thay add a lot on for being English in France mate

also he uses the word 'sorted' which is further indicator that he probably ain't a Frenchie!

Still, would have thought it easier to get bits over there for not a lot of money than here or is the current exchange rate a factor?

When I was running a series 1 CX over there I just used to take it to the local main dealer, never any problems and far lower prices than the UK!
