NZ New BX's

Post by djm666 »

I have now been driving my BX in new zealand a couple of years now and have found lots of BX's out here. the only thing is there is no rust on the NZ new ones as long as they live away from the sea.

I was thinking i can ship a car for about 1000 GBP and you can buy a BX at a reasonable price. was wondering if anyone would want one?

if you put the cars out here with the interior that dies here due to the sun, so put the interiors out of UK cars into them you would end up with a showroom BX for peanuts. well one that would be good for a few hundred thousand.

i have found it not to hard to ship uk to NZ just have not looked into going the other way as yet.

if anybody here knows anything much about UK import taxes?? if there are any?

Depends what reasonable is, judging by the price of what they fetched in the past you would still be looking at an all in cost of £2000 plus then all the paperwork, UK mot etc.

Sadly not many people will pay that kind of money for a BX yet.
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....

yeah i may have to find some real good ones. and park them up.
by the time they get rare there will be hardly any left.
i am coming back to the uk some time in the next year to find a TZD or 16V and ship it to NZ.
it really does not worry me about cost due to it being my hobby and can see family while i am there.
i will loads some pics of the parts of the bx, that in the uk go rusty.
it might even be worth while shipping parts of them???
