I GOT THE BLCK TZD OF CAR AND CLASSIC BACK HOME

Post by jacksun1987 »

I bought the BX TZD. The black one off car and classic site. But there was a couple of things wrong with it.
Bought it from that medway Citroen specailist. On saturday night. Drove back on sunday morning
BAD POINTS
REV COUNTER DONT WORK
PETROL GAGE DONT WORK
BACK WINDSREEN WIPER DONT WORK
BACK RIGHT WINDOW DONT WORK
FROUNT FOG LIGHTS DONT WORK
TRIP SWICH DONT WORK
AND IT SAYS IT GOT ABS BUT THE LIGHT DOES NOT COME ON
Another thing there was chuing gum in the ashtray. A nd the drivers side window went down When i was doing 70 on the motorway

I know i bought it over the phone. But you would have sorted a couple of things out.

Mind you the drive was sensainal on the way down. So comfertuble it was
And the body looks great not much rust. And paint looks really nice it does in black

Thanks

Well done Paul. All those things can be sorted. The window falling down is common for me - the runners slip off the rails or the rails fall off!
Main thing is - you got yerself a BX Boyyyy! ^^bx> :D

I was driving down the motorway. I thought to my self wow it still on 3 qualters of a tank. It must be good on fuel Pulled in the next petrol station. Put 20 pond in it. Got back in the car. Turned the key. And it sad 3 qualters of the tank. I didnt see any poddles on the floor
Went from Kent to Lincoln back in it. It would have been well bad. If i ran out of diesel. Luckuly i noticed when i did. God knows how much diesel is in it. At the time.

Paul, you did well. If I were you I would have a go at Medway because you paid good money. The niggling bad things are individually not too bad - but together suggest they couldn't've been ignorant of the faults. Did they list them as you do???

I would be quite surprised if they weren't aware of these faults.

Hopefully they will refund you some money to get the problems fixed.

Depends how much was paid really doesn't it?

£800? I would expect none of the above faults.

£150? I would expect all of the above faults and possibly more.

Would they give us some money back though.

Also... did you not take the car for a test drive, and generally check it over before parting with your cash?

At this end of the market it's a very serious case of "let the buyer beware"

I bought it a week before. Over the phone. And when i got to the place. It was dark and just wanted to get back to the caravan site.
Yes i know i did a silly thing. But if you was getting it from a specail garge. You would have trust in the place and people.

Its always the same with me. 2 feet in at the same time. I shouldnt have rushed in to it. As i normally do.
Mind you the ride was superb down. And the body work looks really nice The engine did sound like a tractor. Just needs a good service. The number of new cars a saw on the motorway. Broken down Was quite funny it was

If I were you I would have a word with Medway about it - as given the chance to avoid bad publicity they may well sort something out for you. (Possibly would have been best to have a word with them first before mentioning them in public, but I can see you're annoyed...)
Next time if you have to buy unseen, or go and look at a car that's a way away, ask the question "What faults does it have?"
Far more difficult to evade than simply asking "What condition is it in?", as then can simply answer with a vague "Good".

Medway, for the sake of their reputation should really offer to put these things right, in my opinion.

Paul is only guilty of going to a dealer and trusting that the car would be OK. We all know it's a gamble but c'mon Medway: Sort it for this chap.
