Fog Lamps

Post by roody262 »

Does anyone know if these fog lamps from a Renault 5 GT will fit the bx?

Cheers,
Dan

they will fit a bx 16v phase 2 for defo but i dont know about standard bx front bumpers.

I used to have a set of renault clio mk1 yellow fogs on my 8v gti bx. still got them in the garage but scrapped the car.

They will definitely fit:

Needed about 10 minutes to drill a new hole for the screw as they are a little bit wider.

Thanks for reply :) Ordered a pair from ebay at 30 quid each, not too unreasonable considering they are brand new. Is it just new holes required? No other changes needed to the bumper?

Well, the black plastic fog light surrounds can be removed from the bumper, which makes things a lot easier.

I basically just drilled the extra hole, and had to cut a small section out of the plastic surround to make the washers slide into position.

Literally took 10 minutes... and I'm not exactly the worlds most hands-on person

Haha, cheers for the advise Matt, should be able to sort them out this weekend. Can't wait to start using the BX, the C5 just doesn't have quite and much character!
