Unfortunately, the BX TZD needs a new home! Can you help?

Buy or sell parts etc. Please put 'Wanted' in the title if it is a request for parts.

Unfortunately, the BX TZD needs a new home! Can you help?

Most reluctantly, we have to part with the BX. We can no longer justify having so many cars, as the children have flown the nest. We have owned this car since January 2001 (first registered January 1993), and is actually the 5th BX we have owned since they first were introduced in, I think, 1983!

It is a TZD Turbo Diesel (1769cc), hatchback, in Alpine White. Fuel consumption is just over 50 mpg in town, and in excess of 55 mpg on a long or motorway run.

It has ABS, towbar and fitted electrics (only used to tow a trailer tent to France), a rigid boot liner, and a sunroof baffle.

Its only real blemish is a small rust patch on the rear off-side door, which probably originated with a stone chip.

I've got several photos I will email to you if you are interested.

It is taxed, insured and MOT’d, and is in daily use, and has a pretty reasonably full service history.

The price? The car is priceless - our intention was to keep it for ever, but plans rarely follow the expected path. We think £650, or a near offer, is not unreasonable.

We would like the car to go to an enthusiast, who has the skills and expertise to restore what little needs restoring, and so we will not be selling for spares. It has been in daily use, without ever letting us down in any way.

So, if you would like a car that has been almost a member of the family, regularly maintained by independent Citroen specialists, please let us know.

We are situated on the Surrey/Hampshire/West Sussex border.

Just let us know by PM through the forum - we can then talk about it.
