Olympic Blue again!, there like buses.

That bumper wont take much sorting, I expect its broken the mounting holes in the front crossmember as per usual.

Ken I note from above you were asking Q's sorry if you were considering it. I couldn't let this one get away it's my perfect spec BX. I've been looking for 1 for zonks and had given up hope which lead me to buy Tourist's TZD.
Althought the TZD has more power and delivers it smoother IMHO it just doesn't have the same charachter / quirkyness of a TGD (All my 3 previous BX's were TGD's) I test drove an Auto several years ago but didn't buy it cause it was Red (hate red) but have wanted 1 since.
As I have let be known in previous posts I just love this spec BX; grey bobbly interior (the black of the TZD isn't growing on me), my favourite wheel trims, diesel, auto + low miles 1 previous etc. colour not bad (not red) the bumper / door damage are just cosmetic and fixable so the spec cancel's these out for me. As for the price I just think zero depreciation!
Not sure when or what to tell the better half yet

Looks like the TZD might be looking for another new home.

Congrats, a car is only worth what someone is prepared to pay, & like you've said, you've been on the look about for ages, so you had to go for it

Hopefully it'll be a decent motor, especially once the door & bumper are sorted.

Are these diesel auto's longer geared in top than the equivalent manual n/a?

Thanks Mulley, realy I'm just on a one man mission to get more BX's up past the North/South divide. This one's in Watford so I only have to drive it a mile up the M1 to get it out of the southern reach for ever

The seller did answer my questions this afternoon, but I was only after it for a friend of mine, so no worries. Glad you got it really

It seemed a bit expensive on the face of it, but it does have a lot of T&T which is worth quite a bit, and I know my friend doesn't like those seats so I would have been after a Zenith interior for it in no time at all.

Hope you enjoy it and keep us informed as to how you find it.

To answer Mulley's question, I'm certain the top gear ratio is higher on the auto than the manual, as MCPlaxton's message the other day confirmed, his friend managed to get 70mpg out of his with careful driving. And I can confirm I've also managed that much, long run mind.
