There likes buses! Nice miles though, never been on the IOW ferry.

The problem with this one is you'd have to add the ferry cost to the price - unless you live on the IOW

Hi all new member here

Im going to see this 1.4 tge on saturday, on emailing the seller there is an LHM leak on the drivers side near the front wing - loses about a quarter of a litre a week.
Whats your opinions on this guys?

Im new to citroens suspension - but am a keen learner!

It could be something drastic - or it could be something as simple as a broken return pipe. Hard to say without looking. I thought mine had a major leak, but it was just the return dribbling right down the pipework...

If it's under the wheelarch, it's probably something really simple. If it's further inboard, like down behind the engine, it's the infamous octopus.

Maybe just a strut return (thinks having typed it, that would loose more than half a litre a week)

do tell us how you get on, Im very happy with my BX14 StTropez.

I have to say, since the last one about 4 yrs ago. I had forgotten what a good car the BX is.

I think that would depend on how much the car is used - how often the hydraulics are pressurized; and how bad the leak is of course. I'm no expert though, but I've had leaky strut returns before and the leak was never really drastic.

Like the colour of this one too (olympic blue you say?), but in my opinion white suits the bx without a spoiler best, especially with white wheel trims!

Even if it is the octopus I think the consensus of opinion a while back was that it should be under £200 to repair.

Didnt get it in the end, partner decided we couldnt afford another car and the drive was nicely spacious with 3 cars on it... I will get a BX one day

Sorry but perhaps you should have talked to your partner and decided you didn't want another car before talking to this seller. Not buying a car because it has faults etc. is understandable but messing this seller about because ''partner decided we couldnt afford another car and the drive was nicely spacious with 3 cars on it'' is bad form in my book!
