Just thought I'd say hi.
My name is Simon, from Southampton, friend of Kitch. Some of you may remember me from the past when I used to own a green Xantia Activa as well as the legendary BX Estate jointly owned by Kitch and myself, as well as a Xsara VTS.
Well I have been away from Citroens for a few years, although I did manage to store the BX in a barn once it hit 200k, it never quite left my heart. For those who dont know, the car was given to us for free around 2004/5 with over 180k on the clock thanks to citroenz.net, and then continued to give us good service for the next few years, never missing a beat, regardless of how it was treated. It would do anything asked of it, thus earning itself a place in the barn rather than the scrap heap when time eventually caught up with it, and one day it would be ready to put back into daily use.
Well since I sold the Xsara I have owned an Alfa 156 GTA, which is an amazing car, but costs the earth to run, and frankly, I just cant afford it much longer...so the time now seems right to bring back the BX, and put it back on the road.
I know a few people are rather fond of this car, and will be delighted to see it return to the road, as will I, So I'll try and keep this updated with some pictures and bits and bobs, and may ask for some help from time to time. I am planning on putting this car back on the road in as good as condition as possible, without going stupid on cost, but as close to original as possible. I know it will never be a show winner, but I try and take pride in my cars, and hopefully this will show in the Estate. To some people its just an old BX estate, but to me its something more, and I am genuinely excited to try and bring this car back to life!
Now the first thing I need to do (apart from remove the car from the barn) is to find a good interior, as Kitch took the BX16v one back for his own car. Can anyone help me with this to start with?
Simon

Wow, I found my old account, when I was known as Captain Slow...
I also found an old write up about the car

This is why I want to bring it back. Funny enough Kitch has kids now
