BX 4TC body kit?

Post by NZ16v »

Has a manufacturer ever made one of these? have seen the bonnet on a few Bxes, but never a wide arch kit? Any pointers would be great!
one thing better than owning a 16v-owning TWO 16vs

The bonnet was made by the German 'tuning' firm Postert who also made a bodykit for the BX in the 80s. One complete set came up on German Ebay a couple of years ago and sold for €200. It wasn't as fully blown as the 4TC kit - if you want one of those you'll have to improvise I reckon!

It would only ever be a look alike kit given that the 4TC is quite a different shape to a normal saloon.

Also if you found one i would think that might have to hack into the rear door outer shell, because of the way the rear wheel is exposed on the 4tc.

Also was thinking of the 4tc front lower bumper and how it would look on my car, i like this red one especially.

The thing about the 4TC is that it already looked as though someone had knocked it up in their garage from bits they had lying around - which is surely an advantage for anyone wishing to reproduce one!

That is very true! :) Those four lights in the middle and on some, the CX T Slot wheels certianly make it look a "mish-mash" car.

I've seen a few different shape 4TC's online, so the goal is not too narrow :)

Slightly OT, but it's interesting to see a Citroen with Dunlop written on it - that would cheese off Michelin, no doubt....

Possibly a private race car, not factory sponsored. I think the only odd proportion on th 4tc is the elongated nose, everything else looks quite good , so working the body-kit onto a standard bx might look good.

I have a Mk1 aftermarket body kit front bumper new old stock in my stock of parts if that helps. Its kinda like a sport but the fog lamps cut outs are actually below the headlamps recessed into the bumper.
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....
