Could anyone suggest where I might be able to get these parts?

Thanks

The carb part is related to the manual choke operation and prevents flooding. I'd be grateful if anyone could point me in the direction of a parts supplier who might be able to help.

Thanks
Steve

From memory Steve, there's carb reconditioning business advertises in the classic car mags. They're a goldmine - they had bits for the twin SU's on my old Volvo 122s!!!

If you can't get a copy, PM me and I'll dig one out of the loft and post the info on here - or mail you the mag.

Hi - Thanks!

I've just been digging about a bit and I've found a couple of places which offer Refurb/spares kits, even complete Carbs.

Alternator next...

Steve, there used to be a carb specialist in Gillingham, somewhere near the bus station. Not sure if he is still there, but may be worth asking around.

Look on ebay for an alternator, I remember seeing some cheap ones on there before, also try your local motor factors, when I needed one for my SD1 they were miles cheaper than everyone else.

Thanks Brian - I'll have an ask about.

Are you familiar with Gillingham then? We say that the seagulls fly upside-down over Gillingham :D

Yes,know the Medway towns pretty well,as i do most of Kent!

Too many years 'trucking around',but sort of retired now.

I had heard about the seagulls, but never seen it. :D
