Rear Suspension Arm Casting,BX Estate

Post by rhv100 »

Hello All,

About 12 months ago I changed both bearings. The one was so badly worn
it had started to gouge the bearing seat.I cleaned the casting up,fitted a
new bearing and straightened the wheel considerably.Unfortunately, this
time the tester has given an advisory for tyre wear, which wasn"t entirely
unexpected. So.......If anybody has broken a BX lately with a N/S casting
that hasn"t got an egg shaped bearing register please let me know, and
how much you want for it. I"ll collect or pay postage whatever suits.

Regards
Richard

usualy you dont get damage to the outter race seat, but just were the seal sits, i find if you re/assemble it with loads of greaseinbetween the bearing and the seal they last for quite some time,

an enginering works in RYE used to bore the old arm's out and sleave them (re/con) for GSF,

the guys name is John Bruster but i cant remember his company name,
