Now what would be really neat is to get a couple of quick release hydraulic couplings, and power the trailer from the car's hydraulic system. Probably not worth the time to do it, but an interesting engineering exercise!

I've always fancied some sort of hydraulic coupling which could be used for a log splitter. Fortunately, I'm too stupid to try to make one.

I would find that immensely useful as well! But I think the BX pump would struggle to supply the volume required. Nice idea though.

Interesting idea !
I wonder how long it lasts before needing to be pumped up again.
I thought about using a brake servo pump - some cars have an electric hydraulic pump for brake assist instead of using the vacuum.
