Insurance

Post by Discoil »

Just had a quote for car insurance through the post and then read this part:-
Quote.
The vehicle will not be used at anytime within the proximity of a commercial or militaryairport or airfield.
Unquote.

So I take it as I cannot take any family to or from an airport , and make a detour if there is a possibilityof going past any airport ( on a motorway etc. )

Bizzarre, perhaps they are worried about bits falling off the planes! :)

What does "proximity" mean? I'd ask them for clarification as it's pretty near impossible to avoid UK airports! I do wonder if they are trying to preclude use of the car for track days at old airfields, though I would have thought that'd be covered by the usual racing disclaimer.
