Citroen Bx TZD Turbo. Silver

A gentleman contacted me this afternoon requiring a quick sale of his Bx as he is going abroad soon and needs it to go.
Its a 1990 TZD Turbo hatch in silver.It has a few issues but is still in use.
Main issue is rust to n/s/r door shut area to rear wing.

Doesnt look to bad, will need welding, needs some suspension work though!

No not bad looking. He needs it away or is going to scrap it before he goes abroad.Its my favourite model but cash flow at the minute isnt good or i would have it.Richard.

why do those rear door slams/wheel arches rust so badly? i cant see where the water gets in - they are sealed surely? Is the sunroof drains the source? Mine are pretty good, but how do I get rust killer/oil in there to keep 'em that way? Thru the door lock pin? I can't see any rubber bungs from below under the wheel arch. Steve

You can get access to these by removing the boot side panels, and or, the rear seat corner posts. There is some tape over the holes, once removed you can squirt in waht you like but be warned it will find it's way out onto your drive.

I've taken rear wings of BX's only to find on some cars, one side has loads of body protection on and the other side has nothing.

Ive phoned up about it. Im tempted to buy it just for parts. But is it worth messing about with a ok car. To make it a bad car. So mine is a really good car.
If you now what i mean.

How much u reccon it would cost to get it though the mot. I have got a car parking aera round the back. Theres hardley any cars there. And it has tax on it still. So theres no problem for now. But we might be moving soon. So ill be stuck to find where to keep it.

Any ideas

Yes i know it has. I ment the next mot. When it runs out in september.
Ive got the money to buy it. Be ok for now but when we move house. I might not be able to keep it. Could put it on ebay. The engine seems good. He sad he can deliver it. So i dont have to mes about. Would it be worth it though. I would have a set of tyers from the car. He says they are in good nick. Is 225 a good price for 5 tyers lol

I would spend the money on the one you have mate and let someone else take this project on as it could end up costing you alot more than you imagine!

If i park it up in a public car park. Would i have to insure it. I phoned up my insurince. And they sad i could add another car on it. But i could put it on there computer and if i want to swap it over. Just phone up but the other car wouldnt be insured. Basically i can only insure 1 car at the time. And drive one car at the time.

Is the car ok with out insurince on a public car park. It comes with tax and mot

A public car park is still classed as the public highway so legally should be insured, I wouldnt bother Jackson, spend the £250 on the one you have.

yes you are right 28 days cover is 228 pound from quick fit short term one

Wouldnt mind having one for spear parts be ok if i had some where for it
