B'stard!

Removing the thing for reglueing, as it was all but hanging off. I was in the middle of telling brother how well they'd lasted, and that most of them have crazed by now, when the damn thing broke in 2 in my hand. I was being uber careful also..... :(

He laughed in my face, and called me a hamfisted tw*t. I said some naughty words, and went in for a cuppa.

How simples is it to exchange for the solid C pillars? AIUI there's a panel that bolts(?) on? I assume availability is not so difficult for these...

The C pillar panel is bonded to the car.
It would be a good deal easier to replace the panel with a solid one than try and find a "window"..

Sadly I have no breakers suitable in stock at the mo, since both the remaining sheds have already had the C pillar panels removed..
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

I guess I'll do that then - when some solid C panels become available.

I've already Tigerseal-ed the 2 pieces into place, with some sellotape over the crack. It's not immediately obvious, but will drive me nuts until I sort it properly. ](*,)

Hi Ray,
I was hoping that Ken was going to sort you out, therefore I thought I'd give it a day or so before I was going to offer you an alternative solution which is as your current request for a pair of solid 'C' pillar panel's !

So the good news is I have a good pair already removed :D (Using cheese wire/throttle cable) but there in a light blue Metallic colour finish (not White).

The only other item you'd need is the internal plastic cover's to make the conversion complete as your current internal cover/trim's will have aperture's to look thro' the polycarbonate smoked cover's.

What colour is the interior for the plastic trim ? (If in Grey, I have a set I suppose I could remove from my Black spares 17 TGD) .

PM me if I can be of help !

:D

I changed mine last year. its not rocket science but its fiddly and as mentioned you need to remove the inside trim panel, which means taking off the boot liner panel and the vent panel under the window. We had to use cheese wire to cut through the old mastic. be very careful to mask off the surrounding areas to save catching the paint with the cheese wire and use gloves!
