Post by Tim Leech »

Only thing was the non working hazards which are now rectified thanks to a new fuse!

Its a full retail price MOT today at work, they changed the rules so you get two free per year (instead of as many as you like half price) and then after that its retail money, which is fine if you have two cars, like me who has 7 it gets pricey but I cant be bothered to take it to a local MOT station for some grease moneky to suck through his teeth as soon as he seems the Citroen badge and fail it for having no hand brake effort (on the rear wheels!)

All was well until this morning on the way in when the engine "K" lamp AND the ABS lamp came on within 2 minutes, they are both off again and lets hope they stay that way, it hasnt moved for a while so hope its just a tantrum.

Its actually rather filthy at the moment though Dave after not being used for about 6 weeks.

Failed

Split steering rack gaiter and the ABS lamp came on whilst on the MOT ramp, its off again, will take the wheels off and give the sensors a good clean.

Not bad over all for a 20 year old car.

Begs the question though.... plastic or rubber gaitors...
Smokes lots, because enough's enough already!

Far too many BX's, a bus, an ambulance a few trucks, not enough time and never enough cash...

hope it was the O/S gaitor Tim, if it is the N/S just hope the gaitors you purchased are rubber as Doc says not thermoplastic,

to fit the N/S OE thermoplastic you have to dismantle the rack,
