I don't now but I used to own a Mk1 BX 14E - keep fit windows, steering and no clock, oil gauge, keep fit locks, no rear wiper, no upholstery on the door panels (just vinyl)

It did have an 'Econoscope' though! two lights that showed your fuel consumption: actually very useful. Fuel gauge and heated rear window complete the equipment. What a car it was! Even the folding rear seat was crapper than expected: the rear squab didn't move, only the back folded down but not level with the boot floor like all the other BXs.

the 14E also had body colour door frames instead of black.

Still, being a Mk1, it was cooler that all Mk2 BXs :P

They did a BX14, which had no frills at all, little centre caps, 145 section tyres and a 62bhp engine and 4 speed box, oh and no pasenger mirror. Very rare now.

They did indeed. Met a Brit in the south of France with one on the BXagon. Something delightfully pure about it.

Obviously the fabled continental for certain countries versions also i believe the BX11 and the BX, this one a single litre iin engine size. Ive never see one of either though, but they do (or did) exsist.

They did do a 1.1 but I think the 954CC engine vehicle as always a myth.

Not sure about it being a myth tim, Im sure that in the Citroenian about 99-2001 ish contained an article about the small engine continental cars, I have this in my mind that it showed a pic of a possibly swiss 1 litre model, something to do with tax/weight class if i remember right. I cant find the magazine at the minute typically.

No myth. 400 BX 10's were built for the Dutch market with fixed rear windows and a metal tailgate without the usual lip spoiler!!

Hi Richard

It was sold in 1985 and I got my facts slightly wrong as I was going from memory. Only 250 were made, but Citroen Netherlands sold just 17!

Here's one source of info:
