BX 17TGD For Sale

Post by Windy Miller »

Fancy a change of car so up for sale is my BX 17TGD. This has been my daily driver for the last 2 years and has covered just shy of 30,000 miles in that time. This is a 'K' plate car registered in August 1992 and has had 8 former keepers. Total mileage is presently 155,350 (but increasing by about 300 miles a week commuting to and from work). The car has almost 12 months MOT (expires June 13th 2011). The bodywork is finished in Burgundy (never seen another BX in this colour) and, from what I can tell, it still retains it's factory paintwork.

Since I've owned the car the following jobs have been done:
Both rear arm bearings replaced
Cam belt replaced
Oil and filter changed every 6,000 miles -last change 150,000
Fuel filter changed at 150,000 miles
Heater fan circuit board modified
New Exhaust - excluding the front pipe which was in good condition
New windscreen
New Front & Accumulator spheres (genuine Citroen from AEP)
Hydraflushed and new LHM (all brake bleed nipples freed off and replaced where necessary)
New front discs and pads
GTI Interior fitted
GTI dash fitted (all gauges work with the exception of Oil Pressure which requires a T piece to be sourced to fit the sender unit)
Welding where required (front inner wings and rear exhaust mount)

Car has the usual selection of dinks and dents that you would expect to find on a 18 year old car (including the one on it's nose you can see in the pictures)

Battery, tyres, exhaust and clutch are all fine.

I'm looking for £375 (road tax can be provided at extra cost if required). I'm located in North Norfolk (Fakenham), the car can be viewed evenings after 6.30 or at weekends.

Any further details or pictures required, please ask.

Pictures can be found on Photobucket (see link below)

That colour would be Morello, and I've only seen one or two other BXs in that colour.
'92 BX GTi Hurricane - gone to a good home
'90 BX 19TGD estate - goes, but not going anywhere!
'90 BX 19TGD hatch in even more bits...
'71 Dyane project
'74 2CV6 project
'82 2CV6 Club - gone to a good home
the remains of an '88 2CV6 Dolly - watch this space!
...and a '95 VW Passat auto estate!!

Nice car that mate, looks very clean. Probably the only 17 n/a diesel in the UK with a working rev counter!
Lots of Motors, mostly semi broken....

Thanks for the comments - I think the colour suits the car and it does polish up nicely.

A few extra details for those unsure of the specs:
Non-Turbo
Electric Sunroof & Front Windows
Central Locking
Power Steering
Pram Handle rear spoiler fitted at some point
A towbar / electrics come with the car if required
All electrics work with the exception of the clock (I have a blanking plate which comes with the car)
There is a sunroof deflector but it is cracked where one of the mounting bolts fits
AIWA CD/Radio fitted

Thanks

Ian
