Front seat west yorkhire

Bit of a long shot but does anybody have a spare front seat i could borrow/buy? Otherwise its looking less likely that ill be able to go to the CCC national. The seat need not be perfect or even the correct spec but clearly must be usable/not collapsed!!!

Alternatively does anybody have a TRS interior (whole) for sale.

Thinking about it logically would it be possible to swap the drivers seat for the passenger seat? The passenger seat being in much better nick/uncollapsed. How difficult would this be?

If its just the seat base then they are interchangeable and just unclip!

Your Mk1 will have the early type cloth which is remowned for wearing out, I would look for a set of Mk2 seats in the grey tweed which should match up ok. remember Mk1 and Mk2 door cards are different.

hi tim.

Yeah its the base of the drivers seat. When you sit in it your butt goes to the floor and your legs in the air! so not an ideal driving position. So i take it that my best option

Im obviously looknig for a quick fix to get me to the national, where hopefully i can pick up an entire new interior??

Artic Steel has a complete Mk1 interior he can sell you, he is in Wrexham, let me know if you are interested, its in good nick but needs a clean.

I know this problem - the bones in my bum are very close together and it has a tendency to destroy car seats. Many moons ago I jumped into my Mini and was about to drive off - found that I could only see the road by stretching my neck as far as it would go and peering through the steering wheel

I will have a seat available soon but I'm too far from you - but it looks as though the ever generous BXClub members will soon have you sorted

well electrokid its what i was thinking cushions!! lol. or swap with the passenger seat which isnt as bad...hmm..only doing it becuase it was pointed out to me by the parents that driving all that way to the national with a collapsed drivers seat probably wasnt a good idea.

In the long term however Tim would appear to have found me a suitable replacement interior...just the small matter of getting it back...hmm...

Thanks very much for the kind offer mulley but my interior is grey, as is the dashboard/plastic. (was going to put up a photo but it wouldnt work..)

so probs wouldnt match, funny about the colour though; that was the colour of my mums 86 mk1 bx which got me into Citroens in the first place. Its all their fault really..
