One car too many

Post by Oscar »

Help!

We've inherited Groliffe, and very nice it is too (forget my recent hysteria about head gaskets, it was me overanalysing). Swampy was supposed to be stripped and scrapped...but I can't. I just can't.

A pal is wiling to house it for a few weeks on SORN while we are away, but I know I'll have to face it eventually. We have one car too many.

What shall I do??

It's obvious. You HAVE to buy a bigger garage/house/shed ..........

Same problem here I'm afraid, my XM is sat outside, it's far too good to scrap and being the best car I've ever owned I'm reluctant to part with it.
It's been sat there for 16months now and I've done virtually all the MOT work other than fit a new timing belt, but I don't really want to run it again, the redshed(ZX) has proved to be so reliable I would be daft to part with that :?

dilemma. :(

Get rid of Groliffe and give reliable Swampy a bit of TLC, Simples!

Ken's option is easiest.
Pm me offering for a piddly amount of money with a full MOT, drive it down here, take cash and get train home again!

You wouldn't like it Billy. It's got (yuck) air con, and leather seats...

Hey, everything has a price you know. To my eternal shame I'm currently knocking about in a VAG diesel

I have the same dilemma - off to view a 97 XM tomorrow (two owner - Citroen and the seller) - do I need it, might I want it, where would I put it, what would I have to sell to justify keeping it? What to do ...

I got plenty of room and a double garage that fits 4 medium sized cars well it would fit 4 BXs Nose to nose. Up until the misus sold the Korean Astra a BX could sit on either side of the garage. Now because of the Mitsis extra length I can now only have 3 cars in the garage. So kind stops me getting another BX for parts....hang on a minute 2 years ago I brought a TRS for parts and its still with me

Rising costs of motoring has forced the TRS into a reluctant storage but I can not do what is going to be inevitable one day. My justification to keep two BXs is a back up. Logic seems to work
