Hi there
Back from France.
800 miles at 12 miles per litre, 2 litres of coolant, a failed rev counter and a failed FDV, 80 mph at 3000rpm for 8 hours, and a lovely smooth ride. No other issues and I am starting to have a little faith in Groliffe.
12 BXs, 5 XMs, 3 Traction Avants, one of which was moving, and what I think was an 8CV Torpedo from 1919. Oh and a CX.
Too much cheese and pate, too many pains au chocolat, and a mediaeval castle every day.
Lovely....
Plotting our next escape now.

Is that actually possible?Oscar wrote:Too much cheese
Glad it all went well! Where did you go? We've just returned back from a break in the Loire and then on the west coast. Not in the BX but I did see a lot more BXs than I was expecting. Without exception they were all tatty though.

We were in Normandy. Very quiet little agricultural region, with peace marred only by a church bell that rang 717 times a day.
For the price of a week's parking at Gatwick, and in the time it would take to get through security and sit in the departure lounge, you can be buying charcuterie in rural France. Lovely.
All the BXs we saw were tatty, most of them silver diesels of one sort or another. No-one waved back at me...
