Hi there,
I'm often looking into various ways to get a few BXs over to France again, but it is difficult when everyone's commitments etc. are taken into account. I did try (although not very hard I must admit) to stir up support for a raid into France to visit the Museum at Loheac, Brittany. "( http://www.manoir-automobile.fr/welcome/index.php ). We spent a fair amount of time there, but there's so much to see. Not only that, the area intrigued me too. What's more I liked Dinan too, which could be included in the trip.
Don't know when... probably 2011, but I thought I'd gauge response. I think it would be a six day excursion - could consider 5 or 7 day too... "
I didn't get a lot of interest. However, I know some are keen to do another French road trip. It's all a case of when - and what's the angle?
Personally I think you need a bit longer than a few weeks to organise something. Having said that, a spontaneous road trip has its attractions -so long as you don't make it too expensive or time consuming, but I don't think you'll find many who are in a position to react so quickly.
I will plan something (via the CCC so we can include all manner of old Citroens) but it's not likely to be until Autumn next year at the earliest.
I am happy to offer help and advice though if there's enthusiasm shown for something sooner: I just don't think I'll be able to attend!
