A nice looking GTi up on eBay

Would be nice to see this one go to a good home. I know there's a lot of prejudice (I guess) against the ol' GTI - being petrol an' all... but a good one is a good drive. Nice colour too.

Lovely looking car and I`d happily own one. I don`t think there`s any prejudice against them btw it`s just diesels appeal to many because of the economy. I`m sure 99% of the good people from this forum would have one.

What's he on about? Expensive and complicated 16 valve?!

Nowt complicated about them at all. Not expensive either with my current 32mpg average (38mpg on a long run).

I don't think I'll ever return to the diesel way (used to have a 306 Dturbo) as I prefer a higher revving engine and hate turbo lag!

Hmm prefer diesels myself, they dnt seem to go wrong, older petrol ones always give me trouble!

Lovely looking car tho!

I'm very happy with my diesel for economy and reliability - but I'd love a GTi if only I could afford petrol and insurance for it!
