I know a digital clock doesn't actually go tick tock just wanted a attention grabbing headline! My digital clock has a somewhat tempremental display the clock itself is fine always displays correct time when it does decide to display if you know what i mean. Removed the storage tray in front of the clock, bulb is fine but is the ribbon like material the power source for the bulb as the clock itself uses a block connector. Please help as it's driving me barmy .

Solution would be to replace it with a second hand one.
Easily sourced from you local scrappy as the clock is a common design found in any french car, Pugs, Renults from the BX era have them. Not sure on more modern ones post 1995?
Once that ribbon in the back is damged the odds of fixing is practically nil.
Cheers. The ribbon itself appears to be in good condition if i pull the bulb out and put it back in again it will be fine for a couple of days and then go out again. Just wondered if i give the ribbon a wipe with contact cleaner?
